As a leading player in the Food Manufacturing industry, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and making a positive impact. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Packer in our RCL FOODS BEVERAGES operating unit.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pack cooled product into crates according to sizes and quantity
- Pack crates onto pallet
- Verify Best Before dates and label stickers
- Verify on daily planning what needs to be packed on the line
- Remove completed or defective products and/or materials
- Ensure good housekeeping
- Attend and participate in all relevant company safety programs
- Maintain workplace safety and follow established safety guidelines
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, this would include making sure that you are wearing required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety.
- Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
- Utilizing continuous improvement mind-set, assist in identifying opportunities to improve process.
- Work shifts as required.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/ NQF 4 equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
Knowledge
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Storage area control
- Safety Health and Environmental aspects
- Cycle counting and reconciliation
- Stock rotation (FIFO)
